Tien Son Cement Affirms Trademark Strength with Quality

Located in the southwest of Ha Tay province, the Tien Son Cement Company, having been operational for around 40 years, has made a significant contribution to the industrialisation and modernisation process in Vietnam. With its motto of considering quality of products its top priority, the company’s portland cement PCB 30 have become a favourite choice of customers. Nguyen The Nham, chief executive and director of the company said that product strategies played a vital role, especially in ensuring quality of cement.      
In Vietnam, the construction material industry has seen a rapid development and there is a huge demand for cement for capital construction. Having implemented a programme of three million tonnes of cement, which was initiated by the Government, between 1993 and 2000, the company equipped two modern production lines imported from China. To develop its investment effectiveness, the company has concentrated on human resources development, recruiting qualified engineers and workers. Also, the company has focused on research and development activities, encouraging its staff members to develop creativity in scientific and technological application. This has helped the company increase its productivity and reducing energy consumption, and cut production costs, thus increasing the company’s competitiveness. The company has always attached importance to seeking materials with good chemical components to produce high quality clinker and cement products.  
In addition, the company has applied all production management and environmental protection solutions and given a good care to the living standard of its staff members. With a total investment capital of VND 50 billion, over the past five years, the company has produced and sold between 150,000 and 180,000 tonnes of cement, or 1.5 fold higher than the company’s capacity in 2000. Its revenues reached between VND 75 and 80 billion. Each year, the company contributes between VND 3.5 billion and 4.5 billion to the State budget. Average income of its staff members has reached VND 2 million per month. 
 
This was recorded thanks to the company’s proper product, price and market strategies. More importantly, the company has always maintained high quality for its cement products, meeting the Vietnamese standard of VN6260-1997 and the ISO 9001-2000 quality management system. Furthermore, the company has paid a careful attention to customers’ policies with a network of 80 agents nationwide. The company has registered its trademark with a logo of three bears on its packages.
The Tien Son Cement Company has marketed over one million tonnes of cement since 2000, making a contribution to the building of major irrigation and road works in Ha Tay and other nearby provinces.
