Sao Mai Party Committee Stays Perfect, Strong

On the afternoon of January 6, 2022, at the Dong Xuyen Hotel Convention Center (Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province), the delegation of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, led by Comrade Le Van Nung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, accompanied by leaders of Party committees of provincial agencies and enterprises paid a working visit to the Party Committee of Sao Mai Group.

Reporting to the Executive Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Thuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Sao Mai Group, said that An Giang is one of a few growing provinces in the country amid Covid-19 pandemic breakout. With the high effort, determination, creativity and dynamism of provincial leaders, many practical solutions were urgently applied to stamp out the epidemic. At the same time, they helped businesses stabilize their business and gradually bring people's lives back to a new normal stage.

Benefiting from that common achievement, Sao Mai Group also had appropriate adaptation strategies from time to time. Before the pandemic, the group’s annual revenue reached VND14,000 - 15,000 billion and paid trillions of Vietnamese dong to the State coffers. However, Covid-19 also affected its profitability but fundamentals were still achieved beyond expectations. Specifically, employee headcount and salaries remained stable, employee healthcare and protection as placed a top priority. Adapting to the three-on-the-spot production option, Sao Mai Group strictly adhered to '5K' health protection measures and fully vaccinated all 12,000 employees. As a result, the business performance of member companies and factories was kept uninterrupted.

Overcoming all obstacles caused by the raging Covid-19 pandemic, Sao Mai Group continued to secure the No. 4 position in the Top 10 fastest-growing enterprises in Vietnam, Top 50 most profitable companies in Vietnam, and Top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam. Notably, renewable energy played a leading role and contributed up to 40% of its total revenue. Recently, Sao Mai Solar Farm was voted "Top 10 outstanding renewable energy projects in Vietnam in 2021".

In real estate, Sao Mai Group continued to implement many new projects such as Lam Son - Sao Vang Urban Area (Thanh Hoa), Binh Long Urban Area (Chau Phu), expanded Sao Mai - Binh Khanh Luxury Urban Area and a new urban area in Tan Chau.

Mr. Thuan said, Sao Mai Group will improve income for workers after the epidemic, increase tax payment to the State budget, and join hands with the Provincial Party Committee to well perform social security and sustainable economic development.

Sao Mai Group's Party Committee currently has eight Party cells. Despite being a private company, the group has a fairly strong Party member force with 227 comrades who are provided with good skills, manners and ethics, trusted by the Party Committee to hold key positions in the Board of Directors, the Board of Management and professional divisions.

In 2021, Sao Mai Group received many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Labor Confederation. The Party Committee was hailed for excellent completion of tasks. Party members were classified to have successfully completed their tasks. Comrade Le Thanh Thuan and other comrades in the Standing Board of the Party Committee were rewarded for the excellent fulfillment of their tasks.
