Samsung Vina Hosts an Interesting Walk

Samsung Vina Co. on September 11 hosted a walk procession, called “Together with Samsung, Heading for the Future and the Walking Day for Poor Studious Students”, in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. The procession, drawing the participation of over 15,000 capital citizens, was aimed to encourage, sponsor and support Vietnamese children, especially studious students brought up by poor families.  

 

Ms Pham Thi Huyen Thanh, vice chairwoman of the National Committee for Population, Family and Children and director of Hanoi Children Sponsoring Fund, said, “Apart from providing premium products and services to its customers, Samsung Vina always actively takes part in charity activities in the latest three consecutive years from 2002. This programme proved Samsung’s commitment to do long-termed business in the Vietnamese market.”

 

The programme has raised VND188 million (US$11,750) for the Hanoi Children Sponsoring Fund. This sum will be scholarships for poor studious students.
