Specimen Signatures, Seals of Preferential C/O under RCEP Likely to Be Checked Online

The General Department of Vietnam Customs recently sent a notice to customs departments of provinces and cities on the website for looking up newly updated specimen signature and seal for a preferential certificate of origin (C/O).

The General Department guides customs authorities to check information on competent C/O granting agencies under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) on the website: https://rcep.sharepoint.com (Login account and password information will be updated later).

Search contents include information about competent C/O agencies under the RCEP Agreement: Information about specimen seals and signatures of competent C/O agencies (Item: Specimen Signatures) and information on exporters approved to self-issue certificate of origin (item: List of Approved Exporters).

The guidance of the General Department of Vietnam Customs is based on Circular 05/2022/TT-BCT dated February 18, 2022 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on rules of origin of goods in the RCEP and on notification of the ASEAN Secretariat.
