Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh Granted Power of GDT General Director

The Ministry of Finance announced the appointment of Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation (GDT), assigning him to hold the power of the General Director on February 15, 2023.
Acting General Director Mai Xuan Thanh said that he will work hard and undertake valuable experience and achievements of previous leaders, join forces with the GDT leadership to carry out and achieve all assigned goals and tasks. In particular, he will work with the GDT leadership to focus on leading and directing the tax sector to adopt drastic and consistent solutions to manage revenue, retrieve tax debt, deal with budget loss and achieve tax revenue targets assigned by the National Assembly, the Government and the Ministry of Finance. At the same time, the GDT will effectively apply tax policies and solutions to support people and businesses to quickly recover and expand their business operations; and continue to modernize and digitize tax administration.
