Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van, Deputy General Director of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company, President of the Board of Directors of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, said this success comes from the diligence and effort of the company's employees, the persistent desire to honor the traditional swiftlet nest profession of Khanh Hoa province in the international arena.

Facing a difficult and challenging year of 2022, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa still made impressive achievements and continued to affirm its leadership in Khanh Hoa natural bird's nest processing industry in the country. Could you please introduce these successes?

First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the leaders of central and local authorities as well as the unremitting effort of all employees of the company to live through a very challenging year for manufacturing companies, including Sanvinest Khanh Hoa.

With the flexible and active strategy of the Board of Directors and the Management Board along with the partnership and sharing of partners, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa achieved impressive growth in 2022: The company's sales grew 11% year on year to 160 million products; the revenue climbed 20.9% to VND2,117.8 billion; the pre-tax profit soared 29.9% to VND127.7 billion; and tax payment to the State coffers reached VND117 billion. All financial and business performance indicators met or exceeded expectations.

The company paid special attention to market development, diversified business lines, and actively approached new domestic and international markets. For the international market, the company gradually built effective solutions to meet technical barriers applied to its products and actively sought new potential markets to boost its increasing export value, especially to China and other Asian markets which had a high demand for bird's nest products. The company actively participated in cultural exchange and promotion programs and tourism cooperation workshops in Indonesia, South Korea and other nations.

For the domestic market, the company actively promoted communications and programs to popularize and introduce the Sanvinest brand: Expanding the Sanvinest Vanz Dimsum Salanganes Nest Restaurant chain to introduce the quintessence of swiftlet nest cuisine to visitors; robustly developing a showroom system to introduce Sanvinest products and brands; organizing a contest on "Sanvinest for public health" to create a strong interaction channel with diverse customers, enabled by its markets and products.

Regarding scientific research and product development, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa continued to carry out the provincial project on "Building a process to make health products from Khanh Hoa natural bird's nest essence"; successfully researched Sanvinest cheese yogurt production technology; and launched the "Genuine Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Salanganes' Nest Gift" Collection with an outstanding luxurious packaging design to meet diverse market needs.

In the era of digital technology, how has Sanvinest Khanh Hoa focused on bringing Technology 4.0 and green technology into business and ensuring sustainable development?

Applying Technology 4.0 to business has enabled Sanvinest Khanh Hoa to have a more holistic view of management and operation processes, optimize production processes, increase productivity and sales growth and enhance customer interaction and communication. All business operations, human resource management, financial management, and sales channel management (including traditional and online sales through websites and e-commerce platforms) are carried out on the 4.0 platform powered by a specialized software system specifically tailored for the company's characteristic activities. Through electronic interaction, necessary information is provided fully, synchronously and accurately at all times to departments, affiliated units, partners and customers according to a strict decentralized management system which saves time and human resources while enhancing corporate governance capacity.

Regarding the application of green technology, since its establishment, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa has seen it as a crucial element in the company's sustainability vision and a responsibility to the community and society. With the mission of bringing users healthy, friendly products that balance economic and environmental benefits, the company's production processes always strictly comply with environmental management standards (ISO 14,000); quality management standards (ISO 9001) and food safety management standards (ISO 22,000; HACCP). The company's products are 100% natural, and free of artificial colors and preservatives. The company provides a public information list of reputable distributors and agents on its website. Would you tell us more about the market expansion plan that will bring Khanh Hoa Sanest Sanvinest Salanganes Nest products to more international markets?

Currently, in the domestic market, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa has more than 1,000 distributors and agents of Khanh Hoa Sanest Sanvinest Salanganes Nest products in 63 provinces and cities. The products are highly valued by domestic and foreign consumers for their world-class premium quality.

In the international market, Khanh Hoa Sanest Sanvinest Salanganes Nest-branded products have been present in 21 countries and territories around the world, including major markets such as the US, Australia and Japan. Notably, China and India are potential markets because consumers there are keen on eating swiftlet nests, especially products from Khanh Hoa. Up to now, the company's products are being exported to China through unofficial channels and well received by consumers in this market.

What is the development orientation of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa in the new period in order to maintain its position as a leading producer of products made from Khanh Hoa natural Salanganes Nest?

2023 is a year with many opportunities as well as challenges (inflation and high-interest rates), which significantly affect the purchasing power of the market. In that context, in order to successfully carry out its business plans, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa raised a sense of responsibility, built and protected the brand name of Khanh Hoa Sanest Sanvinest Salanganes Nest, and continued to maintain the traditional distribution channel system, existing customers, product consumption system, studied to improve the proportion of product lines to have suitable solutions and policies for each market region, expand the so-called customer channel 4.0, opened other distribution channels; carried out the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa branding promotion strategy; and conveyed the message "Sanvinest - Golden brand for health and beauty" and "Sanvinest - Golden product for health and beauty".

By the end of 2023, the company is expected to launch a new health product category called "Khanh Hoa Sanvinest bird's nest essence" to diversify its product lines and apply province-level scientific research projects on "Building processes for making health products from Khanh Hoa natural bird's nest essence" into practical production.

At the same time, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa will actively propose and implement solutions and detailed plans to ensure the construction progress of the raw Salanganes Nest processing factory in 2023 and continue to build a premium Salanganes Nest beverage factory in 2024 in Song Cau Industrial Cluster in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province to expand scale and production capacity and raise the quality to meet domestic and export market demands. The factories, powered by modern technologies, machinery and equipment, meet international standards such as BRC, BRCGS, FDA, FSMA, FSSC and GACC. Thus, Sanvinest's products are qualified for export to strict markets and densely populated markets around the world.

Regarding the export market strategy, this year, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa will focus all resources to boost official export to target markets, especially China where consumers have good knowledge of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest, when the product is officially exported to China. We hope that authorities will quickly complete and issue guiding documents for the implementation of the Vietnam-China Protocol on regulations for swiftlet raising farms, bird nest processors and exporters; packaging and labeling requirements; quarantine and disease surveillance requirements and food safety requirements for Salanganes Nest so that Sanvinest Khanh Hoa can launch and promote the export of original Khanh Hoa Sanest Sanvinest Salanganes Nest to China as soon as possible.
