Diageo Vietnam (DVL) has donated 40 water purifiers to households in 4 communes Nam Son, Hong Ky, Tan Hung, Tan Dan in Hanoi. These 4 areas are heavily affected by the Nam Son waste complex - the largest waste complex in Vietnam.

With this program, Diageo Vietnam aims to work with local authorities to improve the quality of water, thereby improving the lives of local people. In 2022, the company also donated 49 water purifiers to underprivileged people in Ba Vi, Hanoi, creating opportunities for people to access better quality domestic water.

Ms. Le Thi Hai, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Soc Son district, shared: “We sincerely thank Diageo Vietnam and partners for their timely and practical actions to support affected households. Having access to clean water will support to improve people’s health and allow them to support their families.”
Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Truc - Corporate Relations Director of Diageo Vietnam, said: “Water preservation and environmental protection are the top priorities of Diageo and essential for our long-term business operation. We hope these water purifying systems will help bring clean water to the households. This project also represents part of Diageo's commitment to continuously contribute to improving the quality of life in Vietnam.”

Since 2012, Diageo has implemented the “Water for Life” program globally as a corporate commitment to its social responsibility goals and sustainability vision to 2030. A series of clean water supply systems including new clean water wells, new pumps, new concrete tanks have been donated to households and primary schools in remote areas in Vietnam. In addition to donating water purification systems, Diageo Vietnam has also coordinated with local authorities and partners to raise awareness about sanitation and environment protection.
