Vietnam Coal & Mineral Industrial Group in the Pipeline

The Vietnam Coal Corporation (Vinacoal) has submitted to the Ministry of Industry (MoI) a report on a project to establish the Vietnam Coal & Mineral Industrial Group based on the existing Vietnam Coal Corp. and Vietnam Mineral Corp. (VIMICO).
 
Accordingly, Vinacoal has proposed the MoI to consider and then submit the report to the government for approval.
 
Under the project, the parent company will be the Vietnam Coal & Mineral Industrial Group (VINACOMIN-VCM), in which its headquarter will be based in Hanoi.
 
The group will include 45 subsidiary companies with two companies operating under the model of the holding company, the Vietnam Mineral Corp. and the Dong Bac Company with 100% of their chartered capital held by the group; 15 one-member limited companies; 24 joint stock companies with over 50% of their chartered capital held by the group and four united companies that the group holds under 50% of their chartered capital.
 

The group will operate in the fields of coal, mineral, electricity, engineering, industrial explosive, loading and unloading, goods transportation, construction materials, infrastructure, real estates, water supply, forestation and many others.
