Vinamilk: Auction of State Shares
On November 29, Vietnam milk joint stock company (Vinamilk) will organise an auction of 1,663,000 shares of the State (10.4 per cent of registered capital), with share value of VND100,000 at starting price of VND420,000 a share.
Vinamilk Chairperson and Director General Mai Kieu Lien said that the shares will be auctioned at Securities Transactions Centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. Vinamilk has a registered capital of VND1,590 billion. State shareholders own 60.47 per cent of the shares, the staff own 13.57 per cent and outside shareholders 25.95 per cent (including 19.07 per cent by foreign shareholders). After the auction, the State ownership will be down to 50,01 per cent.
Earlier, in the auction on February 17, 2005, Vinamilk sold 1,827,000 shares of the State at starting price of VND220,000 a share. After the auction, the lowest price was VND266,100 and average price was VND313,000/share, an increase of 42.3 per cent.
