AMD Increases Market Share from One to Five Per cent

On November 28, 2005, at the Press Club, Hanoi, the AMD Group co-operated with MSI and Silicom Group to organise a press conference to introduce new technologies including their AMD 64, hyper transport technology, memory integrated Controller, Cool’n’Quiet, enhanced virus protection, CPU integrated heat spreader, and some of the group’s other new products.

 

At the press conference, Yin Yin Ho, marketing director in Asia Pacific of AMD, stressed the group’s potential and introduced policies in the global and Vietnamese market, which depicted the group’s determination to further promote its products in the Vietnamese market to match the group’s potential.

 

It is reported that over the past 11 months, since the group’s return to the Vietnamese market, AMD has increased its market share from one to five per cent. In three months, from September to November of 2005, the group received many orders from the market and it has met 30 per cent of the orders to date.
