Ben Tuyen Lake - A Future Attractive Eco--tourist Site
On December 21, 2005, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province issued the Decision 814/VP UBND, agreeing the construction of the Ben Tuyet Lake tourist site, developed by the Tan Phong Company.
The project will build infrastructure facilities and upgrade the landscape around the Ben Tuyet reservoir to form an eco-tourist site in An Khe town, from where tours will be organised to serve visitors in Gia Lai and other provinces. The site has a total area of 30 hectares, including 15 hectares of waters. The first phase of the project is valued at VND 32 billion. The site after being developed will contribute to the development of industry, trade and services of Kbang, Kong Chro, Dak Po and Mong Yang districts and An Khe town. The construction of the site will complete in the fourth quarter of 2010. The site will start operation in the first quarter of 2011.
The project will contribute to economic restructuring in the above mentioned localities. It helps protect the environment and ecology, and restore cultural value of ethnic minority groups. It will help generate jobs and incomes for local people, thus helping improve their living standard.
The Tan Phong Company was established in February 2004. Over the past two years, company has implemented many projects on building civil and irrigation works and roads in An Khe town. The Ben Tuyet Lake eco-tourist site is the major project of the company, said Nguyen Duy Linh director of the Tan Phong Company.
