VietinBank Khanh Hoa has established itself as one of the four major state-owned commercial banks in the province for over the past 36 years. The bank employs nearly 150 staff members and operates a network that includes its branch headquarters and seven transaction offices located in Nha Trang city, Cam Ranh city, Ninh Hoa town, and Cam Lam district.

In its business strategy, VietinBank Khanh Hoa adheres to the operating philosophy of "Customer is the center." For corporate clients, the branch targets three primary sectors: real estate (particularly industrial park real estate); small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises; and construction and installation companies. Additionally, the branch leverages its existing corporate client base to enhance the business ecosystem, promoting solutions for capital arrangement, fostering connections among enterprises, and developing capital accounts for foreign direct investment (FDI) clients.

For individual customers, VietinBank Khanh Hoa always strives to enhance service quality to ensure a satisfying customer experience, particularly for priority clients. This focus is a key breakthrough aimed at advancing the retail market by diversifying products and services. The bank is dedicated to strengthening product distribution channels, with a significant emphasis on leveraging new products through digital platforms.

By implementing clear policies and objectives, VietinBank Khanh Hoa has achieved remarkable business results. In 2023, the total scale of operations grew by 21%. Outstanding credit increased by over VND3,300 billion, up 28%, while capital expanded by nearly VND1,100 billion, representing a 26% increase compared to 2022.

In the first half of 2024, VietinBank Khanh Hoa was recognized as the unit with the highest service quality in the Central Highlands region and ranked fourth across the entire system.

Focusing on economic development and social security

Throughout its development journey, VietinBank Khanh Hoa has consistently taken part in initiatives that promote the province's economic and social development. The branch has participated in major events, such as the International Conference on Film-based Tourism Development Investment Attraction in 2023. Additionally, it has cooperated with Sun Group on the 1,200-ha Hon Lon-Khai Luong tourism, high-end resort, and entertainment complex development project. VietinBank Khanh Hoa has also implemented comprehensive credit solution packages for primary and subcontractors involved in the Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot expressway project.

Additionally, VietinBank Khanh Hoa actively participates in social responsibility initiatives, including supporting the "Spring Volunteer Program" and the "Tet Charity Bus," as well as providing Tet gifts to ethnic minority families. Since 2018, the branch has contributed over VND13 billion to build more than 200 charity houses and has sponsored ambulances for provincial hospitals and medical centers.

Great strides in digital transformation

In line with its commitment to the comprehensive implementation of the project on developing non-cash payments in Vietnam for the period 2021-2025, as outlined in Decision 1813/QD-TTg, and the project for building a digital transformation framework for Khanh Hoa by 2025, VietinBank Khanh Hoa established a Digital Transformation Board in early 2024. The branch has since launched an online loan disbursement product for individual customers via the VietinBank iPay application, allowing for disbursements of up to VND300 million per transaction. It has also introduced online guarantees through the VietinBank eFast program, enhancing the functionality and user experience of its electronic applications, providing customers with round-the-clock access to banking services. In the coming time, VietinBank Khanh Hoa will continue to digitize its products and services, ensuring a seamless banking experience through digital channels.

In 2024, VietinBank Khanh Hoa became a pioneer in utilizing APC automatic file arrangement software, which effectively stores all customer data and links it with records of loan and deposit products and services. This has enabled the branch to reduce record organization time by 50% compared to previous practices.

Mr. Nguyen Tran Kien said that challenges in the global economy, as well as domestic economic conditions, have impacted the business operations of some clients, particularly corporate customers. With over 40 credit institutions in Khanh Hoa, competition is intense, especially regarding interest rates, fees, and customer care policies.

“This requires that VietinBank Khanh Hoa intensifies its efforts to maintain its current position. We are committed to standing alongside our customers by organizing direct dialogues to identify challenges and bottlenecks. This approach allows us to support businesses with tailored policies, including reducing interest rates and fees in line with the State Bank’s directives, restructuring principal and interest payments, and waiving service fees. Our goal is to help customers stabilize their financial capacity and business operations in the aftermath of the pandemic. We also aim to provide guidance and support for new and complex projects, assisting in the diversification of investment portfolios,” said Mr. Nguyen Tran Kien.

In the coming time, the bank will continue to pursue its established goals, focusing on credit growth that targets specific customer groups, industries, and potential sectors aligned with industry trends and the region's strengths. This includes strategic areas such as the development of industrial parks, services, import and export activities, and seaports, particularly for FDI enterprises in the Van Phong Economic Zone.
