Recently, Fujikin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Plot H-2B, Thang Long Industrial Park, Dong Anh District, Hanoi Vietnam) successfully hosted their grand opening ceremony. Fujikin Vietnam’s Osaka based parent company, Fujikin Incorporated, makes specialized precision flow control equipment for semiconductor manufacturing facilities and biotechnology industries.
Fujikin Vietnam Co., Ltd. was granted an investment license in Vietnam n July 2002. Its principal activity is the precision processing of fittings (connectors) and valve bodies made of specialty materials. The company currently employs a staff of 160. Its main production facility, which was completed toward the end of last year, is currently situated in the plot H-2B of Thang Long Industrial Park. Fujikin Vietnam’s investments have reached a total of $20 Million. All of the products manufactured at Fujikin Vietnam will be exported overseas.
“Fujikin always works with a precept of facing the limitation and coming over the maximum ability of technique. I think Hanoi-Vietnam is a suitable place for us to carry out precept in manufacturing,” said Mr. Ogawa Hiroshi, CEO of Fujikin Joint Stock.
A total of forty Japanese-manufactured NC lathes and machining centers have been installed in the facilities, for the processing of special stainless steel and other materials. These facilities will include industrial clean rooms and post-processing room with ultra-pure water rinsing equipment for specific polishing operations.
Fujikin Vietnam’s projected turnover for the first year is $4 million. However, the company is planning to expand: in two years, Fujikin Vietnam is expected to employ a staff of 500, and its production capacity will increase. The company anticipates a turnover of $15 million in 2008.
Approximately a hundred customers from Japan, the U.S., Korea, Taiwan and China, members of the local community, and Hanoi officials are expected to take part in the grand opening ceremony. Activities will include a presentation on the benefits of investing in Vietnam. Fujikin Vietnam will also be using this occasion to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam. One of the highlights if the ceremony will be a symphony concert held inside the factory, led by Yoshikazu Fukumura, one of Japan’s preeminent conductors.
