(Vinacontrol Hai Phong), together with other Vinacontrol units, has consistently affirmed its brand and reputation in inspection, testing, product certification and equipment calibration/verification areas.

Vinacontrol Hai Phong offers a skilled workforce for import-export inspection, testing, and certification
Vinacontrol, formerly known as the Department of Import-Export Goods Inspection under the Ministry of Trade (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade), was the first organization in Vietnam to specialize in inspection, testing, certification and quality assessment, collectively known as conformity assessment.
Vinacontrol Hai Phong, the first unit of the Vinacontrol system (founded in 1957), leveraged local advantages and affirmed its leadership in the country’s largest northern commercial gateway. Strategically located in Hai Phong City, Vietnam’s key import and export hub, Vinacontrol Hai Phong has not only made substantial contributions to inspection, testing and certification of imports and exports, but also successfully built a trustworthy and professional brand image in the eyes of both domestic and international customers.
With nearly 100 experienced engineers, specialists, analysts and inspectors, Vinacontrol Hai Phong boasts a strong workforce capable of meeting a wide range of inspection, testing and certification needs for imports and exports in northern Vietnam. Notably, the branch has rearranged its units by professional expertise to form specialized teams tailored to specific product categories, enabling it to have more streamlined inspections and faster customs clearance for businesses.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Director of Vinacontrol Hai Phong, said: “In today’s rapidly growing global trade landscape, quality inspection plays a vital role in safeguarding the interests of businesses, consumers and national reputation. Together with other Vinacontrol units, we are committed to standing alongside businesses and assisting them in controlling product quality and promoting sustainable import and export growth.”
Moreover, the green transformation trend is gaining strong momentum among businesses and Hai Phong City puts a premium on this issue. Green transformation is not only about complying with legal regulations but also proving a company’s competitive edge in environmental protection, meeting global sustainability standards, and enhancing its brand reputation both domestically and internationally.
To advance toward green transformation and a green economy, one of the key actions that businesses must take is to conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions in production activities, internal operations and the supply chain. First of all, they need to thoroughly understand and track detailed data relating to their emissions.
Vinacontrol’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Solution will support businesses with a range of services, including guidance on collecting and standardizing GHG emissions data, quantifying and categorizing emissions by scope (Scope 1, 2, and 3), preparing GHG inventory reports in accordance with ISO 14064-1, and consulting on optimized solutions to reduce emissions and improve resource efficiency.
“Vinacontrol, including Vinacontrol Hai Phong, is always ready to collaborate with businesses and regulatory agencies in raising awareness, sharing knowledge and resolving their challenges related to energy audits and GHG inventories,” he said.
To meet operational demands, Vinacontrol will pay further attention to training and developing its human resources. With a people-centric philosophy, Vinacontrol attaches much importance to improving the capacity of officers, inspectors, auditors and lab technicians. In addition to professional development, Vinacontrol Hai Phong fosters a fair, professional working environment that supports staff well-being and boasts long-term commitment to bringing practical interests to domestic and international customers.
