TechMart, SoftMart 2006 to Open in HCM City in Oct

The annual TechMart 2006 and Softmart 2006 are set to open in Ho Chi Minh City’s Phu Tho Sports Complex on October 20-22 and October 26-28, respectively, organizers said.

 

The two fairs are expected to attract 300 foreign and domestic institutes, organizations and companies to showcase their products and consultancies and about 200,000 visitors, they said.

 

Many multinationals and experts from the US, South Korea, India, Taiwan and Hong Kong have expressed their interests in taking part in the fairs.

 

This year’s fairs, themed application of information technology in all sectors and industries, are hoped to help enterprises apply high-tech to production to enhance their productivity and competitiveness, and acquire new know-how from scientists.

 

To successfully host the events, organizers of the fairs - the Ho Chi Minh Center for Scientific and Technological Information (CESTI) and International Data Group (IDG) – have jointly surveyed the demand of enterprises for IT applications, advertise the fairs, and organize meetings for international and domestic firms, scientists and with especially sourced-tech owners.
