Recently, the Department of Taxation (Ministry of Finance) officially launched the tax portal to support entrepreneurs. This is an important step in accelerating the modernization of tax management, providing convenient and transparent support for taxpayers.

Launch of the tax support portal for entrepreneurs
Maximizing convenience for businesses
Implementing Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, the Department of Taxation has launched the Tax Portal to Support Entrepreneurs (https://hotroNNT.gdt.gov.vn). This online platform provides information, training materials, and tax policy guidance for individuals, business households, and enterprises. The portal is regarded as an important step in the strategy of administrative reform and digital transformation of the tax sector.
According to the Tax Department, the overarching goal is to “place taxpayers at the center of service,” creating maximum convenience for people and businesses in fulfilling tax obligations.
In recent years, the tax sector has advanced technology application by introducing electronic invoices, eTax Mobile integrated with VNeID, iCanhan, and the use of citizen identification cards instead of tax codes. In addition, specialized information portals such as the portal for foreign suppliers, the e-commerce portal, and the portal supporting individual business households on digital platforms have also been launched.
The new information portal is designed with three main goals: helping taxpayers comply with obligations through official information sources, applying technology and software integrated with the tax payment portal, and supporting capacity building to increase revenue and profits for greater contributions to the state budget.
The portal’s content is classified for each target group: individuals, business households, and enterprises. The system will regularly update news, new policies, and detailed instructions for each step in business registration, declaration, tax payment, and accounting book management.
In particular, the platform integrates artificial intelligence (AI) with a consulting Chatbot to assist users in administration, operations, and sales. In addition, a diverse knowledge base covering finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, and administration will help business households and enterprises enhance their capacity for sustainable development.
Toward comprehensive digital transformation
Within the framework of the announcement ceremony, the Department of Taxation and MISA Joint Stock Company signed a strategic cooperation memorandum. Under the agreement, the Department of Taxation is responsible for leading and guiding all activities, while MISA provides technical consulting, infrastructure design, development of a digital learning repository, and preparation of training materials and instructional videos. In addition, MISA also works to update, maintain, and supplement in-depth content on administration, technology, and sustainable development.
Director of the Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh emphasized that the signing ceremony and announcement of the Tax Portal to Support Entrepreneurs marks a new milestone in comprehensively changing the approach to supporting and serving people and businesses in complying with and implementing tax laws. This is not only the first step in public-private cooperation in tax management but also proof of the tax sector’s determination to shift from management to serving taxpayers, moving toward a modern, transparent, and friendly tax sector.
In the context of the Government’s strong implementation of National Digital Transformation, the Department of Taxation is particularly focused on developing platforms to provide maximum support for businesses, individuals, and business households. The tax sector always affirms that procedural reform and digital transformation are aimed not only at enhancing the effectiveness of state management but also at accompanying and effectively supporting the taxpayer community to improve voluntary compliance, creating maximum convenience in fulfilling tax obligations to the State. At the same time, the sector seeks to improve management capacity and effectively apply technology for sustainable and efficient development, consistent with the guiding spirit of Resolution 68/NQ-TW on private economic development.
According to the Tax Department, the announcement and signing event not only marks a new milestone in tax administrative reform but also demonstrates the determination of the Tax sector to accompany the business community.
In the context where the private economic sector contributes about 50% of GDP, more than 30% of total budget revenue, and creates jobs for 82% of the country’s workforce, the need to support this sector is increasingly urgent. Therefore, the new tax support portal for entrepreneurs is expected to help businesses, business households, and individuals comply more effectively while saving costs and time. Built on a modern technology platform, the portal will provide updates on new tax policies, guide tax declaration and payment procedures, and address inquiries. Its detailed structure with separate sections for business households and converted enterprises, along with videos and forms, will enable taxpayers to easily access and follow regulations. The Department of Taxation also aims to develop a comprehensive technology ecosystem covering information lookup, tax declaration, tax payment, and business administration.
