From the aspiration to bring the German spirit to Vietnam to the path of strategic cooperation with JACURA GROUP GmbH in Germany, Mr. Nguyen Hoang, founder of the Vietnam-Germany Cooperation Center (TRABI), has persistently built a bridge for the young generation of Vietnam to access modern education and gain opportunities for suitable jobs with high income in Germany. Our conversation with him reflects his sustained effort to promote Vietnam-Germany cooperation in vocational study abroad consulting, aiming at a high-quality and sustainable human resource.

TRABI always offers students with tailored and effective study program
What motivated you to return to Vietnam to establish TRABI?
I came to Germany in the early 1990s, when the country was rebuilding after reunification. My experience there made me realize that Germany’s revival was not only due to its industrial potential but also to a strong vocational education system that closely connects training with production.
After many years of studying and working in Germany, I came to deeply value the German vocational training model, which is practical, effective, and sustainable. While Germany faces a shortage of human resources, in Vietnam many young people have yet to find suitable study and employment opportunities. This contrast led me to think about how Vietnamese students could access vocational training programs that meet German standards, while also enabling German businesses to receive skilled human resources from Vietnam.
From that concern, in 2012, I returned to establish TRABI, aiming not only to bring a German model to Vietnam but to embed the spirit of practicality, discipline, and respect for workers into sustainable vocational training. TRABI affirms that Vietnamese people can integrate globally, work effectively, and prove their value through intelligence and effort.
In addition, with 13 years of experience in study abroad consulting and close connections with many reputable agencies and organizations in Germany, we have supported many students in gaining a clearer understanding of the advantages of studying in Germany and choosing the right study abroad program.
After more than a decade of operation, TRABI has become an important bridge in educational and training cooperation between Vietnam and Germany. Can you share the key areas of cooperation between TRABI and German partners?
We choose to move slowly but steadily, persistently building a systematic foundation instead of chasing the market, because we understand that vocational training according to German standards cannot be done half-heartedly. It is a journey that requires seriousness, trust from both sides, and above all the determination of the students.
A major turning point came in 2015, when TRABI formed a strategic partnership with JACURA GROUP GmbH International Business Communication, an institution specializing in customized educational training models and consulting. Since then, we have not only received curriculum systems and training tools but also collaborated to organize international language certification exams such as Telc, WiDaF, TOEFL, and TOEIC in Vietnam, strictly following the quality assessment standards of Germany and Europe.
From a basic German language center, TRABI has developed its operating model in a more comprehensive way including training, testing, consulting, career orientation, and connecting vocational study abroad programs in Germany. We place particular focus on practical professions under the Dual Training model (Duale Ausbildung) such as nursing, mechanics, electricity and electronics, restaurants, and hotels, with hundreds of students who have gone to Germany, learned a profession, built stable lives, and become official employees at local enterprises.
To support young people in expanding their knowledge, accessing modern education, and finding future job opportunities, especially for those just graduating from high school, TRABI has carried out many consulting and study abroad orientation activities. With a team of staff who have lived, studied, and worked in Germany for many years, TRABI has a strong advantage in practical experience and specialized knowledge. It also offers direct, free, non-intermediary consulting, transparent costs, and a wide range of scholarships for students to choose from.
For TRABI, the greatest achievement lies in the trust of German partners and the success of each student who is retained by German enterprises after graduation, serving as a proof of TRABI’s persistent, quiet, yet meaningful journey.
At present, while many study abroad consulting models grow rapidly but lack depth, TRABI pursues the goal of “Together toward the future.” We not only send students to study in Germany but also, together with German partners, nurture a generation of Vietnamese people able to integrate with German culture, technical standards, and social discipline, thereby building a bridge between the two countries through people and genuine values.

What are the core goals TRABI is pursuing to strengthen the position of Vietnamese enterprises in international integration?
We have established three strategic focuses that TRABI always strives to implement. First, TRABI continues to expand its scale and diversify its training locations, especially in the field of foreign languages and European standard certification exams such as Telc, WiDaF and others in many provinces and cities.
Second, we build a closed value chain in training and transferring human resources to Germany, not only ensuring professional capacity but also equipping cultural knowledge to help learners integrate quickly and firmly.
Third, we develop training centers based on the dual vocational school model Berufsschule, closely combining theoretical learning with practical training at enterprises, laying the foundation for sustainable, high-value human resources who can later return to serve Vietnam with global knowledge.
We believe that by creating an ecosystem where Vietnamese people step into the world with both skills and intelligence, style, and international integration capacity, and where Germany with its values of quality, discipline, and innovation serves as a gateway to civilization, this vision can be affirmed.
In the context of Vietnam and Germany celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, what message would you like to deliver?
The milestone of fifty years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany is an opportunity to look back on the past and at the same time open up new strategic cooperation directions between the two countries, in which vocational training and human resource development are always one of the strategic pillars.
At TRABI we clearly define our mission as a link connecting the German standard vocational training system and the need to develop high quality human resources in Vietnam.
In the coming period we expect to expand the scale of cooperation with German partners, training institutes and businesses, increase the number of occupations, diversify learning forms and more importantly create a complete learning practice work ecosystem serving the domestic market.
Thank you very much!
