As Vietnam accelerates the restructuring of its industrial development space in tandem with logistics and supply chains, Bach Dang Industrial Park (IP) in Quang Ninh province has emerged as a highly promising investment destination, bringing together distinctive advantages in location, seaport infrastructure, and the investment environment. Launched on December 19, 2025, in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the project carries profound political and socio-economic significance while opening up a new industrial development space, creating fresh growth momentum for southern Quang Ninh and the Northern Key Economic Region.

Situated within the master plan of the Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone, Bach Dang IP is oriented to become a new industrial growth pole of the province. With a total area of 176.45 hectares—of which 133.29 hectares are allocated for integrated industrial land and warehouses for lease—the remaining area is reserved for greenery, water surfaces, transport corridors, and synchronized technical infrastructure. The industrial park is planned under a modern model that harmonizes production development with environmental protection. This approach aligns well with the global trend toward sustainable investment, particularly for enterprises that prioritize environmental standards and long-term operational efficiency.
The most prominent highlight in Bach Dang IP’s investment appeal lies in its rare strategic location. The industrial park sits at the heart of connectivity within the Northern Key Economic Region, offering convenient links by road, sea, and air. From the site, it is only about 5 km to the Hai Phong port system, 15 km to the Lach Huyen deep-water port, 12 km to Cat Bi International Airport, and approximately 90 km to Van Don International Airport. Direct connections to the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Mong Cai expressway and National Highway 18 help businesses reduce logistics time and costs while enhancing overall competitiveness.

Notably, Bach Dang IP boasts a unique advantage with a system of two liquid cargo ports and three general-purpose ports, with berth lengths ranging from 220 meters to 475 meters. These ports can accommodate vessels with deadweight tonnage from 20,000 to 50,000 tons (partially loaded), meeting annual cargo demand of 3.0–3.5 million tons. This creates ideal conditions for attracting chemical, petrochemical, liquid raw material, energy, and liquid logistics industries sectors that require specialized seaport infrastructure, high safety standards, and strong interregional supply chain connectivity.
At a time when industrial land integrated with specialized seaport facilities is becoming increasingly scarce, this advantage positions Bach Dang IP not merely as a manufacturing site but as a strategic gateway where flows of goods, technology, and high-value-added activities converge.

Beyond infrastructure advantages, the investment environment and incentive policies are key factors enhancing Bach Dang IP’s attractiveness. As a project located within the Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone, investors are entitled to incentives prescribed by law for economic zones, including corporate income tax and import–export tax incentives, helping reduce investment costs and improve business efficiency.
For many consecutive years, Quang Ninh has ranked at the top of Vietnam’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), reflecting the province’s consistent commitment to building a facilitative, business-friendly government that works alongside enterprises. A transparent investment environment, modern transport infrastructure, and a strong pro-business mindset provide a solid foundation for investors to confidently implement long-term projects at Bach Dang IP.

According to Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, in recent years Quang Ninh has continued to be one of the country’s leading localities in innovating its growth model, making a strong transition from “brown” to “green”; taking high-tech industry, clean industry, and modern services as key pillars; and closely linking economic development with environmental protection
In terms of development orientation, Bach Dang IP focuses on attracting multi-sector investment, with chemicals, petrochemicals, and liquid cargo–related industries identified as core pillars. At the same time, it targets mechanical engineering, electronics, refrigeration, telecommunications, information technology, high-tech industries, electrical equipment manufacturing, and high-tech supporting industries. This approach helps form new production value chains, strengthen inter-industry linkages, and enhance value-added creation within the industrial park.
With modern planning, distinctive seaport infrastructure advantages, an attractive investment environment, and strong support from local authorities and the project developer, Bach Dang Industrial Park stands before significant opportunities to become a strategic destination for high-quality investment flows, making a meaningful contribution to the industrial development and marine economy of Quang Ninh in the new development phase.
