In the past, berth capacity and fleet size were key factors determining a company's position. Today, however, sustainable competitive advantage depends on the ability to connect seaports, logistics centers, warehousing systems, and every link in the supply chain. In line with this trend, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) consistently pursues the motto: "Enhancing system connectivity, promoting cooperation, and investment." The cooperation agreements signed by Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) and Tan Cang-Cai Mep Terminal (TCCT) in June represent concrete steps in implementing this strategy, strengthening connectivity and enhancing the competitiveness of the entire SNP network.

Cooperation as a new growth driver for the seaport and logistics industry
In recent years, the global maritime and logistics industry has experienced unprecedented fluctuations. From supply chain disruptions following the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions in key regions to fluctuations in international maritime routes and the restructuring of global logistics networks, businesses are not only under pressure to reduce costs and transit times but must also quickly adapt to growing demands for flexibility, connectivity, and sustainable development.
In this context, competitive advantage is no longer determined by the scale of a single port or the capacity of an individual enterprise. Instead, it increasingly depends on the ability to connect different nodes across the entire supply chain. Building an integrated logistics ecosystem, strengthening cooperation, sharing resources, and leveraging collective strengths have become defining trends among many of the world's leading port operators and logistics corporations.
Recognizing this trend, SNP has identified cooperation and connectivity as core pillars of its development strategy for the new era. This commitment is reflected in the motto: "Increase port capacity; increase system connectivity; strengthen governance and legal compliance; promote cooperation and investment; accelerate administrative reform; and advance digitalization and greenification." Instead of developing individual units independently, SNP aims to maximize the strengths of its entire system while expanding partnerships to build a comprehensive port and logistics ecosystem, creating a foundation for sustainable growth. This strategic direction has been consistently implemented by SNP across its operations.

Enhancing operational capacity at Lach Huyen port cluster
On June 19, 2026, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. (TC-HICT) and Haiphong Port TIL International Terminal Co., Ltd. (HTIT) officially signed a Coordinated Vessel Operations Agreement covering situations in which vessels extend into adjacent areas. This marks a new milestone in cooperation between the two port operators in the Lach Huyen deep-water port area of Hai Phong.
Under the agreement, both parties will coordinate flexibly in receiving and handling large vessels that require the use of adjacent infrastructure. This ensures maritime safety, optimizes berth utilization, and maintains the operational independence of each enterprise.
The establishment of this coordination mechanism and the expansion of cooperation with regional partners further demonstrate TC-HICT's development orientation toward strengthening connectivity, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering greater value to customers. This move also aligns with SNP's strategy of developing its seaport and logistics ecosystem in northern Vietnam.

Cooperation on Cai Mep logistics infrastructure
On June 26, 2026, Tan Cang - Cai Mep Joint Stock Company (TCCT) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on the development and operation of logistics infrastructure with Do Thanh Auto Joint Stock Company (Do Thanh Auto), Habitat Living Environment Joint Stock Company (Habitat), and Number One Investment and Design Consultancy Joint Stock Company (IDC1).
Under the agreement, the parties will coordinate on research, investment, and the development of warehouses, container yards, logistics centers, connectivity infrastructure, transportation services, freight forwarding, stevedoring, distribution, and other supporting services. These are all critical links in modern supply chains, contributing to the development of an integrated logistics ecosystem and creating added value for customers.
Beyond maximizing the efficient use of existing infrastructure, the cooperation among TCCT, Do Thanh Auto, Habitat, and IDC1 also aims to develop integrated logistics solutions that connect seaports with their hinterlands and transportation systems with goods distribution.
From leveraging internal strength to expanding connections, and from optimizing the operation of individual ports to strengthening the entire ecosystem, each cooperation agreement not only opens up development opportunities for the participating parties but also contributes to SNP's vision of becoming a leading defense-economic corporation in the seaport and logistics sector, enhancing regional competitiveness, and expanding its presence on the global stage.
