Ung Thien Commune aims to achieve an average per capita income of VND130 million per year by 2030, complete the construction of a new-style rural area by 2029, develop modern and ecological agriculture, and accelerate digital transformation in the “agriculture, farmers and rural areas” sector.

On the afternoon of July 22, the People's Committee of Ung Thien Commune held a conference to gather opinions on the Draft Plan for implementing the Hanoi Party Committee's Action Program No. 14-CTr/TU dated June 26, 2026, on implementing the Politburo's Conclusion No. 219-KL/TW and Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW of the 13th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas through 2030, with a vision to 2045.
According to the draft, Ung Thien Commune identifies the development of agriculture, farmers and rural areas as a strategic task of fundamental importance to the locality's sustainable development. The focus is on building an ecological, modern and multi-value agricultural sector; developing a professional farming community capable of accessing science and technology; and building civilized, modern new-style rural areas associated with digital transformation and urbanization.
By 2030, the commune's economic structure is expected to shift toward trade and services accounting for 40.7%, industry and construction 39.3%, and agriculture 20%. The average agricultural production value is expected to increase by 3.5% annually, with production value reaching at least VND432 million per hectare of cultivated land per year; average per capita income reaching at least VND130 million per person per year.
To realize these targets, Ung Thien Commune will focus on restructuring the agricultural sector toward the application of high technology, developing circular and ecological agriculture; expanding concentrated production areas, high-quality rice-growing areas and aquaculture zones; and establishing production-processing-consumption linkages for key products such as J02 rice, vegetables and fruits, and livestock products.
At the same time, the commune will continue to accelerate the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, aiming to add 2-3 products rated three stars or higher each year; strengthen the application of digital technology in management, traceability and trade promotion, thereby increasing the value and competitiveness of local agricultural products.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ung Thien Commune Nguyễn Anh Tuấn emphasized that effective implementation of Action Program No. 14-CTr/TU will not only contribute to developing modern and sustainable agriculture, but also create an important driving force for improving people's living standards and building Ung Thien into a “livable countryside” that is civilized and rich in cultural identity in the future.
