Applications are now open for the SCG Sharing The Dream Scholarship 2026, continuing to support Vietnamese students on their educational journey and preparing for their future careers. This year, the program will offer 170 scholarships, worth a total of VND2.1 billion, including 120 scholarships for university, college and vocational students and 50 for primary school students nationwide. Marking its 20th year, the program is also opening more opportunities for college and vocational students, with a stronger focus on engineering and manufacturing - fields that are important to Vietnam’s future growth.
More Than a Scholarship
Besides supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds, the program this year continues to expand experiential learning and skills development opportunities for university students. Scholarship recipients will have opportunities to visit SCG’s industrial complexes, where they can see how modern manufacturing works and learn about real workplace practices and industrial safety. Students will also take part in practical workshops covering ESG and problem-solving skills, helping them understand how businesses are changing and what skills they will need as they prepare to enter the workforce.

SCG Sharing The Dream accompanies young people on their journey of capacity building, helping them gradually adapt to the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market
By combining financial support with real-world learning, the program aims to help students connect what they learn in school with what they will experience in their future careers.
Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra, Country Director of SCG Vietnam, said: “Vietnam has been our second home for many years, and investing in young people has always been an important part of our commitment here. Today, students need more than academic knowledge to prepare for a changing world of work. Through SCG Sharing The Dream, we want to give them both the support to continue their education and opportunities to gain practical experience, so they can move forward with greater confidence.”
Supporting the Skills Vietnam Needs for the Future
The expansion of SCG Sharing The Dream reflects changes in Vietnam’s economy and job market. By extending the program to more college and vocational students, particularly those studying engineering and manufacturing, SCG aims to support young people pursuing skills that are increasingly important to Vietnam’s development.
At the same time, exposure to ESG and sustainable business practices can help students better understand how companies are responding to the green transition and prepare themselves for new career opportunities.
This combination of education, practical experience and workplace exposure is designed to help narrow the gap between what students learn and what employers increasingly look for.
20 Years of Growing Together with Vietnamese Youth
SCG Sharing The Dream has supported young people in Vietnam for 20 years. During this journey, the program has given more than 6,000 scholarships worth over VND40 billion, supporting students from different backgrounds, including those from low-income families, people with disabilities and ethnic minority communities.

The program has also grown into a community of more than 300 alumni, who continue to connect, support and inspire younger generations of students.
Mr. Hoang Thai Nam, Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Youth Affairs Commission of the Central Youth Union, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization said: “We highly value the 20-year journey of SCG Sharing The Dream in accompanying Vietnamese students. Each scholarship is not only a form of financial support, but also helps expand opportunities for learning, experience and development for students, especially those facing difficult circumstances. We hope to see more social resources come together so that circumstances do not become a barrier to educational and development opportunities. Thereby, young people can be better equipped with the knowledge, confidence and capabilities to step into the future.”
