Since taking over the project in July 2024, Bac Giang International Logistics Center has entered a new phase of development, with a stronger focus on investment, operations and supply chain connectivity. This progress has been supported by local authorities, from Bac Giang to the newly established Bac Ninh City, and backed by the investor’s long-term commitment to building a green, smart and regionally competitive logistics ecosystem.

Clearing Obstacles to Logistics Center Development

July 2024 marked an important milestone, when the new investor group, comprising CNCTech Group, Dolphin Sea Air Services Corporation and Thien An Investment Joint Stock Company, mobilized resources to restart Bac Giang International Logistics Center. According to CNCTech's report, the investors completed the procedures to acquire 100% ownership of the center in 2024, while working to resolve outstanding issues, address more than 80% of obstacles, fulfill financial obligations and expedite procedures to bring the project into operation.

Local authorities played an active role in supporting the project. On July 31, 2024, just days after the handover, they held a meeting to assess progress and directed relevant departments and agencies to work closely with the investors to resolve issues involving land, construction, infrastructure connections and related procedures.

Within Bac Ninh's expanded development space, Bac Giang International Logistics Center aims not only to become a large-scale logistics project but also to serve as an important link in interregional supply chains. In doing so, the enterprise is responding to government support with a clear commitment: to invest for the long term and work with the locality to create lasting value.

This approach reflected a clear principle: investors must remain committed, while authorities work alongside them to resolve bottlenecks within their authority. This cooperation helps large-scale logistics projects move quickly from planning to operation.

In April 2025, Bac Giang International Logistics Center was officially launched, covering approximately 67 ha with a total investment of nearly VND4.2 trillion (US$161.54 million). The center is being developed to meet green and smart standards, with the goal of becoming a national class II logistics center.

Turning Government Support into Operational Capacity

For investors, government support only has real value when it translates into investment results and the capacity to serve enterprises.

That is why the center is not pursuing a development model based solely on warehousing. Its goal is to establish an integrated logistics ecosystem connecting industrial parks and manufacturing plants with border gates, seaports, railways, airports and major economic centers.

According to Vu Anh Tuan, General Director of Bac Giang International Logistics Co., Ltd., logistics is the "lifeblood" of the economy, connecting and supporting production, trade, and import-export activities. With this orientation, the center is being developed as a link in the Vietnam-China-ASEAN supply chain rather than merely a goods storage facility.

Following its launch, the center's international connectivity was further demonstrated by the arrival of an international cross-border transport route from Nanning, China, through the Huu Nghi Border Gate to Bac Giang. These initial results show that the project is gradually evolving from an infrastructure development into a logistics hub with practical connections to cross-border trade corridors.

Growing Together with New Bac Ninh

A key milestone has been the continuation of this cooperation following the merger of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh to form the new Bac Ninh.

After the merger, local leaders continued to meet directly with Bac Giang International Logistics Center and instructed relevant departments and agencies to coordinate efforts to resolve issues related to land, planning, transport and connections to key infrastructure hubs.

Local authorities reaffirmed that the investors must keep the project on schedule and that relevant agencies must promptly address any obstacles. They also called for studies on linking the center to major transport hubs, including Gia Binh International Airport.

For enterprises, this support goes beyond an individual project, signaling an investment environment where authorities and businesses share common development goals.

For Bac Giang International Logistics Center, this commitment is part of a long-term vision. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of CNCTech's Board of Directors, has affirmed the company's commitment to long-term investment, with plans to develop a modern logistics ecosystem that meets international standards and pioneer green logistics solutions.

For Vu Anh Tuan, the goal is not simply to expand warehouse capacity or attract more customers. It is to build an integrated, green and smart logistics ecosystem that works with the business community to optimize supply chains.

Since July 2024, Bac Giang International Logistics Center has followed a clear development approach: local authorities provide support, investors commit to long-term investment, and infrastructure development strengthens connectivity. Ultimately, the project's success will be measured by its contribution to the local economy.
