LG Electronics Donates US$20,000 to Charity Eye Treatment

LG Electronics Vietnam (LGEVN) opened a press conference to review its achievements in eye treatment and surgeries for the poor patients in southern Long An Province on April 6, 2006. This is under the programme of the South Korea’s non-government Vision Care Service (VCS) in Vietnam.
 
At the press conference, Mr Lee Jae Sung, General Director of LGEVN, handed a cheque worth US$20,000 to VCS to support the programme. After four days, doctors and nurses of VCS conducted eye surgery on 94 poor cataract patents and provided free medicine to 500 eye-defected people in the province.  
 
With the philosophy “Bringing a better life to Vietnamese people, LGEVN sponsored various fields like sports, culture and society. Mr. Lee Jae Sung said LGEVN will spend US$200,000-300,000 for charity work in Vietnam.
