The opening of the 10th Congress of the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam on April 18 discussing the nation’s development policies and selection a new leadership for the 2006-2010 period, is central story of news giants in the world.
Xinhua agency of the China Communists run a story to praise the leadership of the sole ruling party of Vietnam. “The country has achieved national liberation and unification and made steady progress in exploring the way of development catering to the situation of Vietnam,” it quoted the greeting message of the Chinese Communist Party as saying.

However, a number of other world news wires focused on the lesions and the limitations of the communist party, which they said to be covered by corruption cloud.
