Citigroup Willing to Support Vietnamese Businesses
Citigroup, with experiences in regional and global markets, is willing to support Vietnamese businesses for using L/C in import-export activities, said Citibank’s high-ranking expert at a recent seminar on international payment held by Citibank, N.A Vietnam.
Citibank, N.A Vietnam has recently held an annual seminar on international payments for Vietnamese businesses and commercial banks, mainly focusing on changes in international trade, risks and letter of credit.
The function drew the attention of more than 400 representatives from nearly 100 businesses.
As for such countries which are in the process of integrating into the world market like Vietnam, said Charly Madan, general director of Citibank, N.A, knowledge about payment methods with high security in international trade transactions is of great significance, particularly when Vietnam officially join in the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Since 1993, Citigroup has opened two branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City employing more than 140 staff.
