VND9,300Bln for Fishery Exploitation in 2006-2010
The Ministry of Fisheries said that the total investment capital for fishery exploitation projects in the 2006-2010 period will reach VND9,300 billion.
The money will be used to complete the fishing port system and fish market, carry out fishery exploitation strategy, plan fish conservation project, check seafood exploitation plan in Tonkin Gulf, central Vietnam and southern Vietnam.
The ministry will focus investment for projects to upgrade Ca Na fishing port in Ninh Thuan, Quy Nhon fishing port in Binh Dinh, Phan Thiet fishing port in Binh Thuan, Nha Be fishing port in Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho fishing port and Tac Cau fishing port.
A proportion of the capital will be used for fishery researching resource and mapping activities and logistic activities for fishing operations in Da Tay, Truong Sa and DK1. The investment also covers the upgrading logistic service station at Da Tay fishing islet.
