IFC's Vice President to Visit Vietnam
The World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s vice president in charge of the private sector, L. Thunell, will pay his first visit to Vietnam August 14-17 thereby confirming IFC’s commitment to strongly support Vietnam.
During his trip, L. Thunell is expected to consult the Vietnamese government’s officials during reforms of investment environment to the private sector.
In addition, he will discuss IFC’s capacity to assist Vietnam during its comprehensive integration into the global economy.
L.Thunell will also meet domestic and foreign representatives of the private sector including IFC’s clients to discuss how to promote IFC’s role in developing the private sector in Vietnam.
It is reported that IFC and the Ministry of Justice have recently signed an agreement to improve the capital accessing capacity of Vietnamese private firms.
