WB Funds US$10.6Mln for Water Supply in Northern Province

The World Bank (WB) has recently financed US$10.6 million for a clean water supply project in northern Ninh Binh province aiming of supplying the water for 80-85 per cent of local people by 2010.
 
The project costing a total of US$11.7 million will help build 32 clean water supply works in the locality, serving the water to around 200,000 local people.
 
Part of the capital will be spent on the construction of more than 220 toilet facilities in schools, kindergartens, communal infirmaries and households.
 
Earlier, the WB provided US$45 million in soft loan for the first phase of a water supply project worth US$140 million in northern Vietnam.
