VCCI Organises fourth Business Incubator Conference and APEC SMEs Forum

The fourth APEC Business Incubator Conference will be held in Hanoi on September 21 and 22, 2006 to promote the formation and development of the business incubator in APEC economies.  This is an official activity on the sideline of the 13^th APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting, focusing mainly on promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and boosting international co-operation among business incubators and other relevant parties in APEC. The main theme of the conference is ‘Promoting Economic Development, Technology Creativity and Business Spirit in the region.’

 

The conference is an opportunity for enterprises, investors, scientists and policymakers to discuss and exchange ideas and experience from different economies in APEC.

 

Alongside the APEC Business Incubator Conference, there will be the APEC SMEs Forum. At the forum, SMEs from 21 APEC economies will exchange views and experience on international business activities. The forum is also an opportunity for them to make direct contacts, thus helping them seek business and investment opportunities.

 

The organisation of the fourth APEC Business Incubator Conference and the APEC SMEs Forum was approved by the Vietnamese Prime Minister in the Decision 857/QD –TTg, dated June 15, 2006 to contribute inputs and comments to the 13^th SME Ministerial Meeting. The event is hosted by VCCI in co-operation with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Science and Technology under sponsorship of business development organisations and corporations.
