SMEs Promotion Forum to be Held in Vietnam
This conference is to be organised in Vietnam from October 27 to 28, 2006 by ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). The other co-organisers of the event are Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors - Ho Chi Minh (VAA-HCMC) and Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA).
The conference will enable the 500 delegates to discuss the latest tax laws, employment issues and investment opportunities in Vietnam, as well as learning the importance of producing high quality financial records, exploring forthcoming policy development for SMEs and even to win new business, find new investment or even attract finance.
ACCA Vietnam Country Manager, Mai Nguyen, said "The Vietnamese economy has developed rapidly in the past six years. Since 2000 it has doubled its GDP and the level poverty has halved. This development is not going to stop. This autumn sees Vietnamese membership of the WTO and a visit from the US President, but in order to continue this development we must support our SME sector effectively, attract inward investment and move up the value chain through innovation. The conference will discuss the best way of achieving these goals."
