WTO Accession in Minister's Sights
Vietnamese Trade Minister, Mr. Truong Dinh Tuyen met with representatives of the European and Vietnamese business communities for a luncheon hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam on September 28 in Hanoi.
“ There is no issue left in the multilateral negotiations between Vietnam and the EU,” the Minister said. The Minister identified the issues yet to be resolved with the USA and Australia as the only remaining blocks to the nation’s WTO membership, and all parties were now working very hard to reach an agreement.
The luncheon was organised by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) with the support of Vietnam Airlines, and brought together leading figures from Vietnam’s business and diplomatic communities, including the ambassadors of France, Germany, Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, Panama, and the European Commission Delegation to Vietnam, as well as official representatives from Italy, Britain, Denmark, Canada, Argentina, Korea, Singapore, Turkey and the USA, and leading figures from more than 60 of Vietnam’s leading international businesses.
