Holland Day in HCM City
On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands, Dutch Consulate General together with HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs organized a series of cultural and economic activities on October 13 and 14, 2006 in HCMC.
The programme begins with the photo exhibition on the land and people of the Netherlands at Chi Lang Park, then seminar between Vietnamese and Dutch businesses at Part Hyatt Hotel focusing on five areas: water and energy, agriculture, maritime, infrastructure and environment. The Consulate General organizes a competition on business management for students of five universities, a Dutch film show for the children at IDECAF and a dance performance at the Opera House.
The Consulate General also donates some equipment and VND50 million to the orphanages and schools for the handicapped.
