HCMC to Host APEC Trade Fair 2006 Mid-Nov
The APEC Trade Fair 2006 will take place at Tao Dan Park in the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City from November 11-19, said Head of the organizing board, Nguyen Van Duc.
The event, which will coincide with the APEC Summit set to take place in Hanoi from November 12-19, will create a good chance for local enterprises to develop their business and expand markets in the APEC bloc.
Enterprises of various industries from 21 APEC member countries will display their products at 700 pavilions during the nine-day fair.
Mr Duc said the organizers have invited over 100 local businesses operating in all aspects to take part in the event.
As scheduled, Vietnam will welcome around 10,000 guests during the Summit Week, including 1,500 Americans and especially President Bush, who will pay a bilateral visit on the occasion.
