France Awards Letters Medal to Vietnam Choreographer

French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Francois Blarel awarded the French Medal for Art and Letters to choreographer Nguyen Cong Nhac, director of the Vietnam Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 31.

 

The awarding is the recognition of Nhac’s individual contributions to the development of the current dancing arts of Vietnam - a close and successful cooperation of France and Vietnam. Specially, Nhan has worked with a lot of French choreographers like Régine Chopinot and Ea Sola under the framework of the Project “Helping develop Vietnamese culture.” The cooperation between choreographers of the two countries has laid impressions on the arts and cultural life in Vietnam and France. Many Vietnamese talents have been discovered from the cooperation.
