Vietnam Hosts 31st ACM/ICPC Contest
The Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) has announced that the Asia-Pacific qualifying round of the 31st Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM/ICPC) will take place at the College of Technology of Vietnam National University, Hanoi from November 24-25, 2006.
The contest applies international standards like English use and online examination. A representative from the Organising Committee said the contest will focus on subjects familiar with IT requirements of the business community. He said the there will be one championship prize, three gold prizes, four silver prizes, four bronze prizes for 12 top teams. The champions will attend the final round in Japan in March 2007.
