MIO CLASSICO - New Product of Yamaha

October, 2006- Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co. has released the new model Mio Classico to Vietnam market which features a new, more refined body design centered on the key words “Modern Classic.”
 
“Once, Yamaha introduced the MIO as a “Just-fit size light commuter” model. However, this market has been calling for the “next” models of the MIO type that will offer new value with greater stylishness, “milder” riding comfort, and more.” Mr Takahiko Takeda, General Director of Yamaha Motor Vietnam said. “Based on the original MIO, these new models bring further maturation in terms of basic performance while also adding a more fashionable look, a milder ride and styling with a classical air.”
 
The new Mio Classico adds further improvements to the performance, smoothly and refine body design with offering new value: new styling with both modern and classic design elements, to achieve an even smoother ride in urban use. Moreover, Mio Classico achieves environment-friendly performance and improves comfort, reliability for greater maneuverability and convenience.
 
With four colors: blue, green, dark red and black, Mio Classico is a commuter bike mounting an air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve single-cylinder engine with CVT transmission and featuring a “modern classic” body design.
 
For new styling with both modern and classic design elements: More use of rounded design surfaces, higher quality paint finishes on interior parts, more chrome-plated parts used, new meter panel, new-design handlebars
 
To achieve an even smoother ride in urban use: New engine parts adopted approx. 25% new-design parts
 
To improve comfort, reliability:New-design wide seat (70mm seat thickness), wet type air filter adopted
 
For greater maneuverability and convenience: Key shutter adopted, Inner pocket adopted, First VRLA (control valve fitted) battery ever on a Yamaha ASEAN market model
 
To achieve environment-friendly performance:Air induction system adopted for cleaner emissions , Asbestos-free brake pads and brake shoes (on both front disc brake spec and drum brake spec)
 
Mr Takahiko Takeda added “The design adopted on the Mio Classico aims to reflect the latest trends in terms of form and color while also including elements that quietly exude an atmosphere of a classic moped. Yamaha has created a new image for its new Mio Classico”. Mio Classico will be available on the market in the end of October at Yamaha’s retail channels and dealers in Vietnam.
