Saigon Co.op Opens Biggest Supermarket

The Ho Chi Minh City Commercial Cooperative Union (Saigon Co.op), Vietnam’s leading chain store operator and the owner of Co-op Mart chain inaugurates its largest supermarket in the city, covering 12,000 sq.m, on December 14.
 
The four-storey Ly Thuong Kiet Co.op Mart in Ward 7, local District 10 displays 20,000 kinds of products, 70 per cent being Vietnam high-quality goods.
 
The supermarket worth VND30 billion ($1.87 million) also provides high-grade culture and entertainment services.
 
This is the 17th supermarket of Saigon Co.op, the operator said, adding it will have opened three or four more by the year-end.
 
The company plans to raise the number of supermarkets to 100 by 2020.
