VNPT to Apply New Int'l Call Charge Next Month
State-run Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) will apply new call charges for its International Direct Dial (IDD) and 171 Service from February 1, said the telecom giant.
International service users will be divided into four charging groups; 600 seconds per month per subscriber, 601-3,000 seconds per month per subscriber, 3,001-6,000 seconds per month per subscriber to more than 6,001 seconds per month per subscriber.
The call rate will be lower for longer calls, VNPT said.
According to the VNPT, the new service charges will not be applied to callers at post offices or its sale agents, but to its home subscribers.
Vietnam now has more than 25 million phone subscribers with VNPT being the largest with some 20 million users. (VNA)
