Vietnam's Rubber Price up in 12 Export Markets

Vietnam’s rubber sector is expected to gain consecutive successful export years as its rubber products have been selling high on 12 export markets since early this year, according to the Ministry of Trade.
 
The ministry said export prices of Vietnam’s SVR CV60 rubber has increased by US$51 to reach US$1,903 per ton on average.
 
SVR 60 is now priced highest in the Germany and Japan markets, averaging at US$2,143 per ton and US$2,064 per ton, respectively. Meanwhile, the price soared by US$12-372 in England and South Korea, reaching at US$1,893 and US$2,085 per ton.
 
However, the price saw slimmer rises in China, Argentina, the US and Spain, to US$1,848 per ton.
 
In September last year, Vietnam’s rubber price reached a record at US$2,800 per ton. Experts predict that export prices of Vietnam’s rubber will continue to mount during 2007 thanks to high demand on the world market. (Market)
