Vietnam to Build US$33Bln High-speed North-South Railway

Vietnam Railway Corp is seeking approval from the Prime Minister for the project to build a high-speed link between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at total cost of US$33 billion.
 
The railway route has total length of 1,630 kilometers with 10 stations, commencing Ngoc Hoi railway station in Hanoi and finishing at An Binh station in Binh Duong province.
 

The project is expected to be kicked off in 2009 and scheduled for completion in 2016. (VNA)
