More and more Malaysian firms are interested in Vietnam’s investment climate, with highly favorable conditions for economic development, said participants at a conference on business prospects for Vietnamese market.

The conference, recently held in Kuala Lumpur, attracted over 60 representatives from Malaysia’s large companies, which are operating or plan to invest in the country, namely Malakoff Bhd, Sunway Group, Pharmaniaga, Faber Group, Organo, Broen Sdn, Ireka Corp. This demonstrates that Vietnam is extremely attractive to Malaysian investors.

At the gathering, Vietnamese officials introduced the country’s socio-economic development situation, investment policies and called for the foreign side to invest in the areas of construction, infrastructure, education and trade services.

“Organo Company plans to expand operation in this emerging market”, said the firm’s director Clarence Ko, adding that Malaysia’s businesses want to catch bright opportunities in Vietnam as it has become a WTO member. Notably, Vietnam lured a large influx of Japanese investors, who have moved huge investments from China into the country.
