German Firm Supplies Equipment to Vietnam Cement Plant
The German company Gerb.Pfeiffer A.G March 22 signed a contract worth US$10 million to supply equipment to Hoa Phat cement plant in northern Ha Nam province, state media reports.
Gerb.Pfeiffer A.G will provide grinders using modern German technology to the cement plant.
Pfeiffer A.G has supplied grinders to a series of cement procedures in Vietnam, including Holcim, But Son, Tafico, Phuc Son, Hoang Mai and Thai Nguyen.
The Hoa Phat cement project, invested by Hoa Phat Group, an emerging construction and furniture firm, has an estimated cost of VND2 trillion ($125 million) and is scheduled to be kicked off next month.
The investment is divided into two phases with the first being injected VND1.2 trillion ($75 million) to produce 1 million tons of cement a year, and the second with VND800 billion ($50 million) to double its capacity.
Products from the plant are high-quality PCB 40 and PCB 50 cement serving key construction needs.
The project is planned to be completed in the third quarter of 2008. (Vietnam & World Economy)
