Oman wants to boost investment into Vietnam in finance, banking, oil and gas, thermoelectricity, and resorts, under either joint ventures or 100 per cent-Oman-invested firms, said Ahmed Macki, economic minister of the Gulf country.

During the visit, the delegation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).

Accompanying Ahmed Macki were Minister of Trade and Industry Ali Sultan, officials from the government and Ministries of Finance and Economics, representatives of the Oman Investment Fund, and general directors of Oman economic groups.
