Koreans Keen on Vietnamese Pho
According to the website of the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam, Vietnamese pho (noodle soup) has become a favourite and familiar dish in many countries, including South Korea - a country of rich gastronomy.
In South Korea, there are 200 pho shops with familiar names such as Hoa Binh, Pho Hoa, Pho Bay, Little Saigon, Hoa Sen, Little Hanoi, Xich Lo, Ao Dai or Saigon, and most recently the renowned Pho 24.“Little Saigon” served by Vietnamese chefs and staff is one of the busiest shops in South Korea. The shop is located in bustling Apkucheong area. Professor Kim Ki Tae, who worked to introduce Vietnamese foods to Koreans, said a Korean food company is preparing to build a fresh pho factory to replace imported dried pho.
