Building Five Industrial Zones

In late May 2007, Can Tho City authorities conducted surveys to find optimum locations for its five industrial parks (IP) in Thot Not, Co Do and O Mon districts, with a total area of around 7,400 hectares.

 

The 1,200-hectare Thot Not IP will be located in Thoi Thuan Commune, Thot Not District. The 800-hectare O Mon IP is adjacent to Tra Noc IP II in O Mon District. The 4,000-hectare Nong Truong Song Hau IP and the 1,000-hectare Nong Truong Co Do IP will be situated in Co Do District.

 

Finally, the 200-hectare North O Mon High-tech Park will lie in Thoi An and Thoi Long wards, O Mon District. The Can Tho City People’s Committee said the surveys provided groundwork for reviewing project planning, investment outlining and IP forms, to match the city’s socio-economic development situation.
