Vietnamese Homeware Maker to Penetrate US Market

Vietnam Electronics and Refrigeration Technology Corp (Mitsustar) will set up a retail chain selling domestic wares and utensils in the US, said general director Hoang Viet Dung.

Dung made the statement after accompanying State President Nguyen Minh Triet on his trip to the US.

The general director said Mitsustar had already concluded market research and had devised an entry strategy for the world's largest economy.

During the visit, Mitsustar reached agreements to export its products to major retail outlets in the US and will look to list on the US securities market in the future.

The company also signed contracts worth hundreds of millions of USD with US partners such as the contract to build and develop the refrigeration and electronics distribution network in Vietnam and invest in the Mitsustar industrial-service-urban complex project in northern Hung Yen province.
