Key Economic Areas Report 68 Trade Centers, 160 Supermarkets
A total of 68 trade centers and 160 supermarkets are actively operating in three key economic areas in Vietnam, said the Ministry of Trade.
As many as 41 trade centers and 71 supermarkets are located in the northern economic area while only two trade centers and four supermarkets are operational in southern economic area, MOT said.
The central economic area reports 25 trade centers and 85 supermarkets.
According to MoI, Vietnam has not yet had full statistics about the total of trade centers and supermarkets across the country.
However, fast economic development will result in a boom in the facilities, said the ministry.
Vietnam’s total retail sales revenue for goods and services in the first five months this year was estimated to have risen by 22.6 per cent on-year to reach VND277.8 trillion (US$17.36 billion). (The People)
