Work Starts on US$29.5Mln Cement Plant in Central Region
Midland Construction Corp. (Cosevco) No.6, under the Ministry of Construction, June 13 kicked off construction of a cement factory at total cost of VND472 billion (US$29.5 million) in central Quang Binh province, state media reports.
The facility is set to produce 1,000 tons of clinker daily or 380,000 tons of cement annually.
Of the total investment, 85 per cent is sourced from credit loans and the remainder from the corporation, said a Cosevco senior official.
The plant will be equipped with modern Chinese facilities and technologies. It is located nearby the huge and high-quality limestone reserves in Quang Ninh district which will feed its operation.
The project is scheduled for completion in two years. (Vietnam & World Economy)
