Vietnam Airlines And Airbus Launch Joint Community Relations Programme
Vietnam Airlines and Airbus today announced a joint community relations programme valued at US$ 618,000, which will see a nationwide roll-out of eight newly renovated schools around the country, as well as a clinic and dispensary in the southern province of Tra Vinh.
Vietnam Airlines Executive Vice President of Operations Luong The Phuc, said “We have had a close relationship with the Airbus team for many years, and so the opportunity to work with Airbus and to bring new schools to the country is a wonderful contribution that will resonate for decades as more and more students graduate in the years to come.”
The sponsorship will see renovations take place in schools in Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Son La, Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Binh Phuoc, Kien Giang as well as the clinic in Tra Vinh.
The operation of Airbus aircraft with Vietnam Airlines dates back to 1991, when an A310 entered service on regional routes. Vietnam Airlines currently operates a fleet of ten A320s, nine A321s, two A330-200s and one A330-300 on its domestic and regional network.
