Japanese Firm Plans US$32.4Mln Fabrication Plant in Vietnam
Japan’s Meiko Electronics Co., known for fabrication of printed wiring boards, plans to start work on an assembly plant with an estimated investment of US$32.4 million in Vietnam in August this year.
The planned facility will be located in northern Ha Tay province, next to a PWB plant scheduled to go on stream within 2007.
The new plant, set to cover an area of 18,000 sq.m, will be put into operation in June next year.
Meiko generates nearly US$400 million in sales from its six facilities in Japan and China. (Business Asia Today/Asia Pulse, Thanh Nien Online)
